On a slow and tough batting wicket, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were halted to just 165 after the end of the twenty overs. The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacers, led by a stellar performance from skipper Pat Cummins, especially in the death overs, were instrumental in restricting CSK's score.

The result was that SRH claimed victory over the defending champions by a margin of six wickets and 11 balls to spare, with Abhishek Sharma leading the charge with a blazing 37-run knock.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins, leading the side for the first time this season, took his team to their second victory this IPL as they registered two points on the table. After the game, he spoke about the pitch, mentioning that it was quite different from the last game they played against Mumbai Indians, where over 500 runs were scored.

Cummins emphasized that it was a slower wicket, which made batting a little tougher. He also touched on getting Shivam Dube's prized wicket as he was striking it too well, adding that the off-cutter worked out for him.

Pat also lauded his side's openers, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, for brutally smashing the bowlers and cheekily commenting that he would want to avoid bowling to them.

Also, the Australian skipper was in awe of the former Indian and CSK skipper MS Dhoni as the crowd went berserk when the right-hander entered the crease for his batting. The atmosphere was electric, with the cheers and chants reverberating through the stadium.

He went on to say that this is the loudest that he has ever heard on a cricket field. The 30-year-old was also quite impressed with the crowd tonight for coming in good numbers, as their enthusiasm added to the thrill of the game.

"Different soil. Slowed up a little bit as the game went on. Shivam was hitting it well against the spin. Thought we'll take chance with off-cutters. First thing is always to get the points. Wouldn't want to be bowling to him (Abhishek) and Trav Head at the top. Crowd was crazy tonight. When MS walked out, it was as loud as I've ever heard."

After this significant victory, the SRH have now moved to the 5th position on the points table with four points. This win has not only boosted their morale but also improved their standing in the tournament. They will be next playing against Punjab Kings on 9th April in Chandigarh, a match that could potentially further improve their position in the league.
