Getting two player of the match awards into two respective games is no easy feat especially when you have only played those two games in your entire career, that is why Lucknow Super Giants' Mayank Yadav is a special talent who needs to be nurtured for the Indian side.

Wreaking havoc with the ball, by bagging three timely wickets against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Tuesday and registering figures of 3 for 14 in his four overs, Mayank Yadav was at his absolute best earning another player of the match award.

Chasing 182 set by LSG, RCB were bowled out for a meagre total of 153 with Mayank being the chief destroyer. His out and out quick deliveries did batters on most occasions as they all got beaten by his rapid pace.

The 21-year-old in the post match presentation while receiving his player of the match award felt more ecstatic for his side winning two consecutive games rather than his two player of the match awards.

Mayank Yadav's life-long dream

The right-armer believes that he can play for the country very soon as this is just the beginning of his high profile career. Touching on his routine, he stated that he follows all the crucial elements of his day-to-day life from diet to sleep to training perfectly so that he comes off fresh the next day.

When asked which one was his favorite, the pacer from Delhi picked Cameron Green's dismissal as his preference.

"Feels really good, two Player of the Match awards in two matches. I am happier that we won both the matches. My goal is to play for the country. I feel this is just the start. I enjoyed Cameron Green's wicket the most. There are a lot of factors to bowl quick - diet, sleep, training. I am focusing a lot on my diet and recovery - ice bath."

The LSG are now 4th placed with two wins and four points, next, they will be up against the Gujarat Titans on 7th April in Lucknow.
