Another day and another convincing win for the high-flying Rajasthan Royals (RR), but this time against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), with a margin of six wickets and more than four overs to spare.

Mumbai received four early jolts with Trent Boult in the frame in three of them as he dismissed former skipper Rohit Sharma in the very first over alongside Naman Dhir. Then, he came back for a second over to bag the wicket of Dewald Brevis. Interesting, all three of them fell for a golden duck.

Boult finished his four-over spell with exceptional figures of 3 for 22, making Mumbai pay on a tough batting surface, as the ball moved quite a bit early on. After the game, Boult confessed that it is never a certainty to get early wickets in the game, but he is happy that it came off well today.

"Never a certainity in this format, but happy to fill my role and take wickets with the new ball. We won the toss, did what we spoke about, got a couple of wickets and put the pressure on the batters."

Moving to the topic of Rohit Sharma's wicket, Boult expressed that he has played quite a lot against him, and it is always about trying something different, which helps him outfox the batter with his variations.

Also, praising his bowling partner Nandre Burger, Boult was quite impressed with the South African quick picking wickets as he bowls with his whole heart.

"I've played against him a lot, and it is just about doing something different against him. Doesn't always work this way, but happy when it does. Nandre has been a great find, wears his heart on his chest like a lot of SA bowlers do. Sandy has been doing well, although he missed out today. Ash and Chahal always chip in as well. Good to be part of this bowling unit."

The confident Rajasthan unit will next face up against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on 6th April at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
