In a candid and animated chat, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli was seen walking through Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor Gautam Gambhir to his dismissal against Australia in the ODI World Cup 2023 Final.

RCB is up against KKR on Sunday afternnon at Eden Gardens, Kolkata for a pivotal IPL 2024 season clash. 

Stakes for RCB remain high as they are seated at the bottom of the points table whereas KKR find themselves in a better position.

That being said, ahead of the game, both sides walked out for a practice session where RCB superstar Virat Kohli met KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir as the duo were captured engaged in an animated conversation where Kohli was seen walking Gambhir through his dismissal against Australia in ODI World Cup finals held in November 2023.

On 19th November 2023, India and Australia clashed in Ahmedabad to claim the ultimate ODI World Cup trophy. However, the hosts, who won 10 games on the trot, threw away their weapons on the eve of the finals and sustained a heartbreaking loss.

That being said, in a pivotal moment, Virat Kohli lost his wicket against the run of play just after scoring his half-century. 

A short-length delivery from Cummins kissed Kohli's bat and crashed onto the stumps, thus leading to Kohli's crucial wicket, which subconsciously led to India's painful defeat. 

While five months have passed since the incident, Kohli's animated chat with Gambhir reflected on how the haunting memories are still fresh in Kohli's mind.
