In yet another dominating performance, Sunrisers Hyderabad handed a 67-run defeat to Delhi Capitals after posting a mammoth 267-run target in an absolute run fest.

As SRH squared off with DC at Arun Jaitley Stadium earlier today, records were broken once again as SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma unleashed carnage to bring up as many as 125 runs in powerplay.

While wickets tumbled in the middle overs, Shahbaz Ahmed ensured yet another record-breaking finish for SRH as they set a mountainous 266-run target for DC.

That being said, DC had a similar start to SRH, but a middle-order collapse proved to be costly as DC finished 67 runs short of the target.

Meanwhile, winning captain Pat Cummins was thrilled to once again have broken the records with the bat. He said the ball was flying in Delhi and both sides made the most of the powerplay. However, as the ball got softer, it started to grip, which made stroke play tougher in the middle overs.

"Yes, good record and keeps going. Another great win and the ball was flying here. I think we saw with both powerplays it was great to hit the bowlers. But the ball got softer and it gripped a bit but all in all good batting wicket," said Cummins.

Cummins confirmed that SRH faced no dew in the second innings. However, he felt nervous about bowling, and DC also replied with an aggressive approach.

"There was no dew as such and that helped us. Yes, great to see them teeing off against the bowling but what is scary is that I have to bowl on it as a bowler," he added.

Lastly, Pat Cummins added that as a unit, the emphasis is always on to bowl well and he was happy to execute plans today against DC.

"Glad we could do that and bowl well. We needed to bowl well and I am happy with where we are at as a team," Cummins concluded.

With another enthralling win, SRH bounced back to second place on the points table, whereas DC succumbed to seventh spot.
