[Watch] When Hardik Pandya Promised A Big Knock To Irfan Pathan To Keep His Word

The Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is known for his all-round skills in the cricket world. Last year in the T20 World Cup, he was having a great time in the tournament as he started bowling as well. Ahead of the semifinal, while talking to Irfan Pathan, he promised a big knock and delivered as well.

He has been leading the T20 side as well when the senior players are being rested. Now the Indian team have started their World Cup 2023 campaign against the mighty Australians. Going forward in the tournament, Hardik Pandya is going to be an important player for the Indian team. 


Here's what Hardik Pandya said while promising Irfan Pathan:

Just a few hours before the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022, Hardik Pandya and Irfan Pathan were having a chat and Irfan Pathan told hardik that he has been rooting for him. He also mentioned that whenever someone asks him about India's X-factor, he always picks Hardik Pandya. 

Hardik Played a brilliant knock against Pakistan in the amazing thriller at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium and was having a good time in the tournament. Irfan Pathan asked him, how far is that one big knock of yours. And the all-rounder confidently replied, in about 1.5 hours or 3 hours time. Well, he did not just promise, but also kept his promise and smashed 63 off just 33 deliveries. 

Although, the Indian team lost the game as they could only manage to score 168 in their 20 overs and the English batters, Alex Hales and Jos Buttler chased it down in just 16 overs with 10 wickets in hand. That was the only game the Indian team lost in the tournament and Hardik's efforts went in vain.
