The former Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar also known as the God of cricket, was present today at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the opening game of the World Cup 2023. He also brought the trophy into the field before the start of play.

Sachin was also a part of the commentating panel for today's game and he was sharing his memories from the World Cup. The legend was a part of six World Cups throughout his fabulous career. When Ian Bishop asked him about one of his special matches, Sachin rated the 2003 World Cup match against Pakistan as one of his most special games.

Sachin smashed 98 against Pakistan and helped India win the game

Pakistan batted first and put a decent total of 273 runs on the board. With conditions favourable to the fast bowlers, it was indeed a tough task for India to chase it down. Sachin was having a great time at the 2003 World Cup and India needed just the start he produced.

With the likes of Shoaib Akhtar, Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Abdul Razzak and Shahid Afridi, who are the greatest bowlers Pakistan have ever produced, the knock Sachin played was beyond legendary. He went on to score 98 off just 75 deliveries and India won the game with four overs spare.

Team India reached the finals of the 2003 World Cup but could not lift the World Cup as Australia posted a mammoth total of 359, and defended remarkably. Sachin was named the Player of the Tournament for scoring 673 runs and picking up a couple of wickets.

The current team India will be playing against Pakistan on the 14th of October and that too in the biggest stadium in the world, Narendra Modi Stadium.
