Delhi Capitals took a bold decision of dropping David Warner and brought Shai Hope in his place against GT, but the decision has not worked for Pant and co. as Hope ended up scoring only five runs.

Shai Hope came out to bat at number 4 after Delhi Capitals lost two wickets in the fourth over of the match, and all DC fans would have hoped for a good solid performance from the stylish batter. Hope did hit one beautiful boundary but in a bid to hit another one, he miscued the ball and ended up losing his wicket.

It was the final over of the Powerplay, and Hope tried to go over the top as Warrier bowled a full delivery, around off. The ball went off the outside off his blade towards deep backward point and Rashid Khan in the deep ran to his left and grabbed a brilliant diving catch.

It put DC in big trouble, but Axar Patel and Rishabh Pant stitched together a 113-run stand, and that brought the home team back in the game on a flat batting deck at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
