Delhi Capitals' skipper Rishabh Pant got a lucky survival during his side's ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Gujarat Titans, thanks to a fumble from veteran wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps. 

The incident occurred during the eleventh over of DC's innings when Pant was stabilising the innings alongside premier spin bowling all-rounder Axar Patel. 

As soon as GT skipper Shubman Gill brought Noor Ahmad into the attack, the Afghan spinner created an opportunity. 

Coming from over the wicket, Noor bowled a full-length delivery, inducing an inside edge off Pant's bat. 

As the batter was out of the popping crease, there was a genuine chance for Wriddhiman Saha to dislodge the bails and send him back. 

However, Saha, known for his extraordinary keeping skills, failed to collect the ball, with Pant returning to the crease just in time. 

Soon after getting the lifeline, Pant smoked Noor for a massive six, adding some salt to the injury. 

On the other hand, Axar Patel, who was promoted to number three, has led DC's fightback after Sandeep Warrier's bowling heroics reduced them to three down in no time. 

As of writing, the Capitals were placed at 114 for three, with Pant and Axar batting on 32* and 39*, respectively.
