Rajasthan Royals' skipper Sanju Samson had a memorable outing in his side's ninth IPL 2024 match against Lucknow Super Giants, helping his side record a clinical seven-wicket win in the face-off. 

Coming at number three, Samson hammered 71 runs off just 33 deliveries, leading the Royals to a commanding victory. 

While Samson hit seven fours and four sixes for his blistering knock, his incredible switch hit off Krunal Pandya got the maximum attention. 

The incident took place during the 15th over of the Royals' innings when Samson was rebuilding the innings alongside keeper-batter Dhruv Jurel after Riyan Parag's cheap dismissal. 

After conceding two singles on consecutive deliveries, Pandya erred in his line, drifting one down the leg side around the good length. As soon as Samson saw the poor delivery, he went down on one knee and played an audacious switch-hit to collect four crucial runs. 

Thus, the RR skipper, renowned for his power-hitting, exhibited his ability to play unorthodox shots like his national teammate Suryakumar Yadav. 

Riding on Samson's exceptional knock and Jurel's flamboyant fifty, RR chased down a challenging 197-run total in 19 overs. They are currently at the top in the IPL 2024 standings and will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 2.
