In match no. 45 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Gujarat Titans will host Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 28, 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. With playoffs in sight, Faf du Plessis-led RCB will fight tooth and nail to outplay GT and earn two crucial points to continue their journey in the league.

RCB have had a forgettable season so far, having won just two games in nine matches they have played. With two points in their previous game against SRH, the Faf du Plessis & Co will be high on confidence after winning the match by 35 runs.

Virat Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis have been in commendable form in the ongoing season. The former captain of RCB is the highest run-getter in the tournament and is the current holder of the Orange cap with 430 runs in 9 matches

The skipper of RCB has been in good spirits as well providing good support to Virat Kohli at the top-order.

RCB's journey so far

RCB's middle order has been the talk of the town and has been under scrutiny since the IPL started. With limited contributions from the middle order Rajat Patidar, Cameron Green, and Will Jacks have shown some significant contributions providing some quickfire in the previous few games.

Dinesh Karthik has been in praiseworthy form contributing with the bat at the lower-middle order. Confronting all odds and his age, Karthik has been exceptional for RCB whenever the situation has arisen. Though he faced injury in the last match against SRH, there is a question regarding his availability.

RCB bowlers have not been in the best form in the ongoing IPL 2024. Mohammed Siraj has just scalped five wickets in eight games he has played and has not performed well for the franchise.

Lockie Ferguson, the lethal spinner, has scalped three wickets in 3 games he has played so far for RCB. Yash Dayal has taken eight wickets in eight fixtures, the bowler has been quite effective with the ball and has bowled several crucial spells for the team.

Karn Sharma has been a periodical player in the RCB's lineup has shown good form and has scalped three wickets in three matches.
