[Watch] Shaheen Afridi 'Flies Like An Eagle' After Dismantling Tom Blundell

Shaheen Afridi gave Pakistan an ideal start on Saturday in the last and final match of the series against New Zealand at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The talismanic left-arm quick, who was recently sacked from the T20I captaincy responsibilities, knocked Tom Blundell over as early as during the opening over of New Zealand’s innings after they came to chase 179-run target.

Considering the Men in Green trailing by 1-2 in the five-match series, Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, desperately required a win to avoid a humiliation. And Shaheen set the tone, bowling a length ball around the off stump to the 33-year-old in an attempt to shatter the stumps.

And the ace speedster got the success, as Blundell's minimal feet movement resulted in him getting knocked over for a paltry four-ball four.

At the time of writing this, New Zealand are 19/1 after 2.4 overs, with skipper Michael Bracewell and Tim Seifert in the middle. While Shaheen took the new ball from the very beginning, Babar gave the new ball to Saim Ayub to bowl in tandem.

The Black Caps, who have been looking for a historic series victory, need to pull off a miraculous task against a prolific Pakistan attack, which includes Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Usama Mir, Abbas Afridi, and Mohammad Amir alongside Shaheen.
