Experienced Indian keeper-batter KL Rahul had a memorable day in the office as he struck a blistering fifty in Lucknow Super Giants' ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Rajasthan Royals at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. 

During his stay in the middle, Rahul took a particular liking for ace RR speedster Avesh Khan, hammering him for some monstrous sixes. 

The incident took place during the eighth over of LSG's innings when Rahul was forming a consolidating stand alongside Deepak Hooda after some early jitters. After bowling a dot ball, Avesh erred in his lines, with Rahul dispatching the ball into the stands for a six. 

The batter took a brace on the fourth delivery only to smack another maximum off Avesh's no ball. He finished it off with a glorious boundary, giving LSG the much-needed impetus to rebuild their innings. 

While Rahul continued his onslaught on the RR bowlers, Hooda departed for a 31-ball 50 off Ravi Ashwin's bowling. In-form batter Nicholas Pooran also bit the dust as he was dismissed cheaply by Sandeep Sharma. 

However, with KL Rahul unbeaten, LSG are aiming to finish things on a high note. As of writing, the hosts were 165 for four in 16.2 overs, with Rahul and Ayush Badoni batting in the middle.
