Delhi Capitals' opener, Jake Fraser-McGurk, unleashed a brutal assault on Mumbai Indians' bowlers, especially Jasprit Bumrah, guiding them to a powerplay score of 92-0, their highest ever in IPL history.

MI won the toss and send DC to  bat first, a decision from Hardik Pandya that look regrettable now. With Warner and Shaw absent, Abhishek Porel partnered Jake Fraser-McGurk to open the batting for DC. 

Right from the first ball, Jake made his intentions clear, aggressively taking on Mumbai Indians' opening bowler, Luke Wood, who returned to the field today after playing in the first game against GT and spending the rest of the matches on the bench.

Jasprit Bumrah received the ball for the second over from Hardik, and the treatment he received was no different. Bumrah conceded 18 runs in his first over, an unusual sight in the IPL.

Fraser-McGurk dominated every bowler in the powerplay. After six overs, he had scored a blistering 78* runs from just 24 balls, while Porel managed 11* runs from 13 balls.

Jake Fraser-McGurk changed DC fortunes 

Since Jake Fraser-McGurk joined DC, they've turned their fortunes. They had been at the bottom of the table before, but now they've won four games and are currently in the run for the playoffs.

Fraser's aggressive batting style has been a big help for DC. He gives them a strong start in almost every games . In the game against MI, he scored 84 runs off just 27 balls before getting out to Chawla.
