Virat Kohli's innings against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday at Eden Gardens ended controversially. As the prolific Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter was adjourned out controversially, social media cries began both in favour and against Kohli.

So is so that a viral video shows Vinod Seshan—the umpire who signalled Kohli out—explaining his side of the story and laws to the celebrated cricketer. The video further shows the batter hinting at his stance, as he wasn't arching but standing up straight.

Interestingly, Kohli was standing a bit outside off the crease and as per the ball tracking, the ball would have passed the batter at 0.92 meters from the ground if he was upright. This is in contrast to the 35-year-old’s waist height, which is measured at 1.04 meters, raising questions about the accuracy of the decision.

In the mighty chase of 223 runs, Kohli smacked two classic maximums in his brief stay before falling for a seven-ball 18. His dismissal saw the Royal Challengers lose the plot in the powerplay, as Faf du Plessis was dismissed soon after his partner

However, Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar staged RCB towards a brilliant finish in the game with their respective rapid half-centuries. However, the team lost wickets in clusters in the fag-end.

In the last over of the chase, Karn Sharma blasted as many as three maximums against Mitchell Starc when RCB needed 21 runs to win. But as luck would have it, RCB still lost the cliffhanger of a clash by one run.
