In a candid video shared by Mumbai Indians (MI) on their social media, legendary batter Rohit Sharma has been seeing sharing a moment with Rajasthan Royals' (RR) bowling coach Shane Bond on the eve of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash between RR and MI, scheduled for Monday.

In the video, Bond approaches Rohit Sharma from behind and goes to kiss his right cheek. The former MI captain gets the gesture by surprise as he reacts shockingly before hugging the former New Zealand speedster.

The duo were seen hugging and smiling after the incident. RR's lead spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin, also could not hold his emotions as he burst out laughing after watching Bond's act.

It is worth mentioning, Bond and Rohit share a special bond as the duo has spent nine good years together for the Mumbai-based franchise in the IPL.

Nevertheless, Mumbai and Rajasthan will face each other for the second time in the season. Earlier when these two teams met, Riyan Parag's blistering half-century saw RR bag a victory over the five-time champions in a low-scoring thriller.

The Royals have been in top form in the IPL 2024, topping the table with five wins off seven matches. Their bowling has been one of the prime reasons of the Sanju Samson-led side dominance, courtesy of Bond's astute coaching. 

MI, on the other end, are crawling low on the points - with three wins and four losses this season. However, Rohit Sharma has been in top form for MI as he has notched 297 runs, including a century against Chennai.
