Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bowling are making a sensational comeback against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens on Sunday afternoon. Cameron Green broke the budding partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer with a well-targeted short delivery.

In the 9th over of the first innings, when the stand between two Iyers was reading 22 runs, Green bowled a 141.5 kmph bumper, targetting Venkatesh's body on the middle and off-stump. The southpaw rocked back to swivel a pull stroke but mistimed it straight to Mahipal Lamror stationed at deep backward square leg.

Earlier in the game, Phil Salt took the attack to the bowling, especially against Lockie Ferguson - who was blasted for 28 runs in a powerplay over. However, Salt played one too many strokes, as Mohammed Siraj removed him on 48.

Meanwhile, Yash Dayal summed up the powerplay with two overs in the sixth over, sending Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi back to the dugout.

After Iyer's dismissal off Green, Lockie Ferguson got rid of Rinku Singh, bringing Andre Russell to the crease.

At the time of publishing, KKR is at 142-5 after 14 overs, with their skipper and the prolific finisher in the middle.
