Babar Azam smashed a spectacular six off Michael Bracewell to win the battle of the captains on Sunday during the third match of the five-match series between Pakistan and New Zealand, taking place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

It was the first ball of the sixth over by Bracewell, which was nicely tossed up outside the off stump. Babar kept his composure and crunched a superb six over long-on.

However, Babar eventually fell to Bracewell after a 29-ball 37, as Pakistan, who have taken 1-0 lead, are still in charge at present. The Men in Green have reached 134/3 after 16 overs, Irfan Khan and Shadab Khan in the middle, on 9* and 21* respectively.

Notably, it is Babar's second stint as Pakistan's captain after PCB decided to sack Shaheen Afridi from T20I skipper. Babar's journey began well, as they folded a depleted New Zealand side to 90 in 18.1 overs before Pakistan chased it down in 12.1 overs in the second T20I of the series. The first T20I, meanwhile, ended in no result due to rain.
