In match No.50 of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) won the match in a thrilling and nail-biting encounter against Rajasthan Royals (RR) by a mere margin of 1 run. 

After the match in the video that went viral, fans were present on the ground cheering for Heinrich Klaasen, the South African Wicketkeeper batter, and in return showed a generous gesture by gifting the fan with his cap that he was wearing.

In a recent heartening video that went viral on social media, Heinrich Klaasen gave his cap to a fan on the ground. The clip captured a touching moment between a fan and Klaasen at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The 32-year-old player greeted his fan and gifted his cap creating a memorable moment for the fan. Acts of kindness like these truly highlight the exceptional nature of players like Heinrich Klaasen. 


In the ongoing IPL 2024, Klaasen has scored 337 runs in 10 matches at an average of 189.33. Sunrisers Hyderabad will play its next game against Mumbai Indians on May 6, 2024. In the overall history of IPL, he has scored 851 runs in 29 matches with a strike rate of 174.39 at an average of 40.52. 

After winning the last fixture against RR, Pat Cummins & Co have registered themselves in the 4th position of the points table. 

Ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, South Africa announced their 15-man squad for the marquee tournament, with Aiden Markram, appointed as the captain who will lead the side for the first time in an ICC event. 

Heinrich Klaasen has been included in the South African team for the upcoming World Cup as he has been in decent form in the ongoing IPL.
