The Hyderabad fans reverberated with thunderous cheers for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli as the crowd expressed their love, admiration, and unwavering support for India's run machine.

Kohli graciously acknowledged the overwhelming support from the Hyderabad crowd during the IPL 2024 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday, April 25.

Despite his innings being slow-paced, Kohli's 51 off 43 balls played a key role in RCB's formidable total of 206/7 in 20 overs against SRH. Throughout the second innings, Kohli was frequently seen near the boundary line, near the fans.

A viral video circulating on social media captured the fervent chants of the crowd for Kohli outside the ground on the roads.

During the match, the crowd was cheering for Kohli. In a heartwarming moment, Kohli acknowledged the chants and expressed his gratitude towards the enthusiastic crowd as he walked towards the boundary line amidst their cheers.

RCB upset SRH in Hyderabad 

RCB finally broke their six-match losing streak in the ongoing IPL 2024 with a convincing 35-run victory at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday. 

Kohli and his team managed to overcome the formidable Pat Cummins-led SRH, who had been dominating the season with consecutive wins and leading the points table.

Before the match against SRH, RCB had been enduring a series of humiliating defeats. However, thanks to the remarkable batting performances of Kohli and Patidar, both scoring half-centuries, and the exceptional spin bowling display by Karn Sharma and Swapnil Singh, RCB turned the tide in their favor and broke their losing streak.
