In an unfortunate turn of events, Ravindra Jadeja set to be ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia next month.

The veteran Indian all-rounder was earlier ruled out of the ongoing Asia Cup following his knee injury. Notably, he will undergo a knee surgery and hence won't participate in the showpiece event.

Since debuting in 2009, the southpaw has established himself as a vital cog of the Indian setup in the shortest format. Statistically, Jadeja has 457 T20I runs to his name at a decent strike rate of 124.52. Exhibiting his all-round prowess, the left-arm spinner has also picked 51 wickets in the format.

Considering his all-round impact and incredible pace-hitting ability in the death overs, we can term Jadeja's injury a massive blow for the Men in Blue ahead of the tournament. We expect Axar Patel to make it into the flight as Jadeja's replacement.
