PBKS owner Preity Zinta broke her silence on reports of her making a statement about her team's strategy to go after Rohit Sharma in the upcoming IPL mega auction by calling it completely false and baseless.

Rohit Sharma's alleged feud with Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya following the captaincy saga gave rise to speculation of his ouster in the upcoming mega IPL auctions.

Reportedly, Rohit is miffed with Hardik's captaincy tactics and would voluntarily seek an exit before next year's auction.

Soon after, PBKS owner Preity Zinta's stunning claim about how she would bet her life to acquire Rohit in the auction if given a chance since her team lacks stable leadership surfaced over the internet.

However, the claims turned out to be completely false as Preity Zinta broke her silence to clarify the same. She took her X handle to call the report baseless since she had never made such a statement.

She further added that she has immense respect for Rohit Sharma and is, in fact, a fan of his batting prowess. But the truth is that she never mentioned him in any interview whatsoever.

Zinta further called the report distasteful, given Shikhar Dhawan's current state of injury. She added that PBKS had never had any doubts about Dhawan's leadership capabilities, and all of this was just a clear case of misinformation.

Preity Zinta urged media houses to refrain from spreading these articles any further and requested fans to stay mindful while absorbing any kind of content on social media without any fact or background checking.
