Cult hero and crowd favourite MS Dhoni unleashed glimpses of his vintage self on the crease against LSG, and his 9-ball 28 runs knock left netizens awe-struck. 

Chennai Super Kings clashed with Lucknow Super Giants earlier today at Ekana Stadium. The visitors batted first but failed to put enough runs on board due to regular fall of wickets.

While Ravindra Jadeja's half-century kept CSK in the hunt for a respectable total, it took CSK a special MS Dhoni show to get to a par total.

MS Dhoni stepped out on the ground amid a roar of applause in the 18th over after the fall of Moeen Ali. He wasted no time in the middle and took down Mohsin Khan for a couple of boundaries, including an audacious scoop shot.

With Yash Thakur coming up with the final over, MS Dhoni activated his beast mode to bang a six and a couple of fours to finish with a sensational 9 ball 28 runs innings.

Needless to say, the crowd on the ground went berserk to witness the vintage Dhoni live. However, fans on the internet also celebrated the 'Mahi Show' and lauded the 42-year-old's sheer power and aggressive intent. 

Many reminisced about Dhoni's ionic shots whilst calling him the best finisher in the league.

Indeed, MS Dhoni once again proved why he's considered one of the greatest and finest finishers in cricket history and why he has a cult fan base across the world let alone just in India.
