In their latest announcement, Cricket Australia revealed the schedule for their upcoming and most anticipated home summer, which includes six limited-overs matches with Pakistan and a five-Test series against India.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia continues to be dedicated to the idea of a Tri-series, including the arch-rivals India and Pakistan. Notably, the two Asian giants do not play in bilateral series due to political tensions.

However, Peter Roach, CA's cricket operations manager, pointed out that there was no chance to arrange a Tri-series that would culminate in a face-off between the historic rivals this season.

“We haven’t got a tri-series in the FTP (Future Tours Program),” Roach said. “Going forward, we’re always interested in opportunities for matches and content that will engage our fans," Roach said.

“It’s fair to say that every country in the world would love to see India and Pakistan competing in their country. We’re on record as saying that we’re one of those countries that have asked the question," he added.

He also mentioned that CA's schedules are too tight for a tri-series, but they will maintain conversation with both boards.

“There’s no room in our schedules to do that at the moment, but we’ll keep talking to them and [consider] any other opportunities that arise. But in this specific example there is not going to be any change to the schedule.”

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia also announced a packed schedule for the home summer. While India will play five Tests against the hosts, Pakistan will take on the Aussies in three T20Is and ODIs.
