Amid the thrill and excitement in full swing for the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024, talks about the T20 World Cup have already begun. According to the latest reports, there is a lot of speculation going on regarding the T20 World Cup squad 2024. 

 In a recent video that is going viral on the internet, on the 'Club Prairie Fire' podcast, there was this discussion that took place between former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist and Rohit Sharma regarding the wicketkeeper's spot in the Indian cricket team for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. 


Adam Gilchrist Called Ms Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik Young Talent

In a funny conversation on the podcast, Adam Gilchrist called Ms Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik very young talent and he also suggested that they would be perfect choices for the role of wicketkeeper after their terrific performances in the ongoing IPL. 

And I reckon the two standouts, two really youngsters who are shining, who I reckon they're both going to have a big future when they grow up and get a bit older, a bit more mature. Dinesh Kartik and MSD, mate, they're I reckon they're going to be great players when they grow up. Adam Gilchrist said

Rohit Sharma Said That It Would Be Difficult To Convince MS Dhoni For T20 WC 

The Indian captain replied in a witty manner and said that it would be difficult to convince legendary MS Dhoni to play in the T20 World Cup, he recalled the cameo of the former CSK captain against MI where he scored 20 runs in 4 balls against Hardik Pandya. 

Look, it will be hard to convince MSD for sure to come to the West Indies, I guess. He is sick and tired. Yeah.  DK will be easy to convince, I guess.”Rohit Sharma said on the podcast.

He then teased Dinesh Karthik and said that he is also playing some extraordinary cricket in this IPL season the RCB wicketkeeper batter recently scored 83 runs in 35 balls against SRH. 

Rohit concluded by saying that it would be easier to convince Dinesh to travel with the team to the USA and the Caribbean

The final selection for the T20 World Cup squad will depend on various factors including IPL performances, past team performances, and several other reasons and considerations.
