In the aftermath of a fantastic 211-run chase from Lucknow Super Giants against Chennai Super Kings, LSG entered the top 4 in the points table with 10 points, tied with Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

KL Rahul reviewed the win, and how they managed to win from behind while lauding Marcus Stoinis' match-winning performance.

KL admits trailing behind CSK until Stoinis stepped in

In the post-match interview, LSG captain, KL Rahul admitted to trailing in the most part of the game and CSK being over-par at the halfway stage.

"[The win was] Very special. Especially after a game like that, 210+ runs scored by either side. For the most part of the batting, we were way behind the game and pulling off the victory like that is super special."

Although LSG beat CSK a couple of days back, KL Rahul said that it didn't make any difference and it was a fresh start and CSK started off well and put them under pressure with the batting,

"It was a fresh start, both teams started off at 0. Different conditions here. I think they started off really well and put us under pressure. 170-180 would’ve been a great total here but they batted really well."

Rahul hails centurion Stoinis

About Stoinis' Player of the Match performance, KL credited the Aussie for not just going after every ball and cleverly building the chase. He also discussed about changing the batting order and especially, sending Stoinis at 3 as a power hitter.

"Full credit to Stoinis. It was not just power-hitting, it was very clever batting. He picked his bowlers and played very well. We felt like we needed to be braver and capitalize the powerplay and needed 1 power-hitter in the top-3. [On the batting order] There’s no set plan, apart from the openers, everyone else is ready to go out whenever we feel it's right. We’re going to keep it flexible."

Rahul ended by making a fun remark on his catch to dismiss Rahane, calling it as the catch of the tournament worthy grab. Lucknow will welcome Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, 27th for their next game.
