Delhi Capitals (DC) have put an end to their losing streak by defeating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Ekana Stadium, their home ground.

Kuldeep Yadav's remarkable bowling removed dangerous players like Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis, and LSG skipper Lokesh Rahul. In the chase of 168, DC clinched the victory with 6 wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare.

Big Bash League talent Jake Fraser-McGurk and DC skipper Rishabh Pant stepped up with crucial innings following David Warner's early dismissal

Warner's opening partner, Prithvi Shaw, contributed a decent 32 off 22 balls in the chase of 168. Despite this, former World Cup-winning Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh, present in the commentary box, criticised Shaw's performance.

Harbhajan expressed frustration at the Prithvi Shaw's dismissal, emphasising that the DC opener didn't play poorly overall, but rather, one ill-advised shot selection put DC in a risky position.

“What was he doing there? If I were at Delhi Capitals, I would have beaten him continuously. There was no need for that shot, and he put Delhi in trouble. When you are batting well, you should make it count, but Prithvi has this habit of going for reckless shots. This should have been avoided,” Harbhajan said.

Prithvi Shaw, a highly talented player, has struggled to secure a spot in the national team due to consistency issues.

As Harbhajan Singh pointed out, Shaw's tendency to throw away his wicket puts him at a disadvantage.

Additionally, the Mumbaikar's lack of sharpness in the field adds to the challenges he faces. It's understandable that a seasoned legend like Harbhajan might feel frustrated seeing top talents like Shaw struggle to break into the national team, given his knowledge of the player's capabilities.
