Chennai Super Kings, the five-time champions have registered their second consecutive loss after SRH delivered a strong performance at their home ground. Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl first and the Men in Orange did a brilliant job by restricting CSK to a below-par total of 165.

CSK skipper this season, Ruturaj Gaikwad naturally was disappointed with his team's performance and touched on different mistakes they did at Hyderabad.

Gaikwad emphasised on the slow nature of the pitch and added that they did not capitalise with the bat at the death as SRH bowlers bowled well in the final few overs.

"It was a slow pitch. Towards the end, their bowling was effective. We couldn't take advantage in the final five overs. We were in a promising position at the halfway mark, but they bowled well in the latter part of the innings."

The CSK opener stated that it was a black soil pitch and they expected the pitch to behave slow. He also mentioned that the pitch slowed down even further when the ball got old and that did not help their cause with the bat at the death.

"No, I think it was a black soil pitch, so we kind of expected the slowness. But as the ball aged, it slowed down even further, and we couldn't capitalize at the end. Additionally, they utilized the conditions well on their side of the boundary."

CSK will now be heading back to their beloved home ground, Chepauk and will have KKR up against them. The Yellove Army would be hoping that they get back to their winning ways in the comfort of their home conditions.
