Call it a miracle or luck, but Rishabh Pant still playing cricket and clearing boundaries with ease is a sight that pleases everyone, especially when he played an exceptional 32-ball 51-run knock against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Delhi Capitals (DC) in his side's 20-run victory.

Coming into bat when his team lost their first wicket, Pant's exploits pushed Delhi to 191 after 20 overs as they didn't let CSK cross 171 and, hence, earned a very important and their first win of the season.

Pant speaks after the CSK game

Speaking after the game, Pant lauded his bowlers for being consistent with their lines and length. On top-order batter, Prithvi Shaw getting back into his groove with 43 runs from 17 balls in his comeback game, Rishabh acknowledged that he has been working behind the scenes, which has finally paid off for him.

"Bowlers have been clinical today. We've learnt from our mistake. He's been working hard from last two weeks (Shaw). We thought it's time to give him a chance and he flourished. It will depend on match to match, but if Mukesh can bowl at the death it'll be great,"

Moving to the topic of his life after the life-threatening accident, Pant mentioned that cricket is his life, and he would have made every effort to return to the field.

"As a cricketer I've to give my 100 percent. Took some time initially as I haven't played much cricket in the last 1.5 years. This is something I've depended my life on. Always had the self-belief that whatever happens, it's important to come back to the ground."

After this victory, Rishabh Pant and DC will next be seen taking on against Kolkata Knight Riders on 3rd April in Vizag only.
