Later in the second innings, India dismissed Pakistan within 32 overs at a score of 128 to advance to the finals of the Asia Cup. India also defeated Sri Lanka in the final match of Asia Cup 2023 to lift their sixth title in the tournament.

After the Asia Cup, India and Pakistan met in the ODI World Cup 2023 at Ahmedabad. The hosts outclassed the Men in Blue in their dominating seven-wicket victory, which was starred by Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.

India eventually lost in the final of the ICC tournament. Pakistan, on the other hand, could not even qualify for the semifinals of the event.
