Shahrukh Khan is one of the most clean hitters of the cricket ball in the Indian domestic circuit, but has unfortunately not been able to translate his potential into performances in IPL. However, in the 45th match of IPL 2024, he has finally delivered and notched up his maiden IPL fifty. 

He hit 58 off 30 balls and hit five sixes in his knock, one of those was a stunning hit over long off against the leggie Karn Sharma. It was the 12th over of the match and Karn tossed it up on the off stump line. Shahrukh Khan made room, shimmied down the track and launched it over long off for a maximum.

It brought up Gujarat Titans' 100 as well, and it was the second six of that over after the first ball was pumped over deep square leg by the powerful right-handed batter. 

Shahrukh eventually departed in the 15th over with Siraj cleaning him up with a yorker, but he did his job perfectly, providing much-needed impetus to GT's innings in the middle overs.

Earlier, RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first and they got two early wickets as well, but that is where Shahrukh and Sai Sudharsan got together and took GT to safer shores.
