Rajasthan Royals' in-form batter Riyan Parag let his team down with a modest batting performance in the ongoing IPL 2024 encounter against Delhi Capitals. After taking his time for a steady 22-ball 27, Parag was cleaned up by Rasikh Salam's magnificent slow ball. 

The incident occurred during the eleventh over of the Royals' innings when Samson and Parag were stabilising things following cheap dismissals of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler. 

After conceding a six off his third ball, Salam kept it tight for the next two deliveries. This built immense pressure on Parag, who went for a wild slog to break the shackles.

However, as it was a slow ball, Parag was beaten comprehensively, with the ball dislodging his bails. 

Thus, the Assam batter, who looked a bit rusty during his stay, failed to capitalise on his start and take his side close towards the target. 

Meanwhile, skipper Samson is playing a blinder for the Royals in the high-voltage clash. Coming at number three, the swashbuckling right-hander has smashed 84 runs off just 40 deliveries as he seems like a massive threat to the Capitals. 

As of writing, the Royals were 155 for three, with Samson and debutant Shubham Dubey batting in the middle.
