Yashasvi Jaiswal, aiming to overcome his poor form in the ongoing season, failed to make a significant score for his side during the 56th match of IPL 2024 between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 7th.

Delhi Capitals, batting first, posted a formidable score for RR to chase. RR opener Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal hoped to build a strong partnership. However, Jaiswal's innings was cut short, with him only managing to score four runs.

The pivotal moment occurred in the very first over of the match when DC pacer Khaleel Ahmed was hit for a boundary by the RR sensation. In the next ball, Ahmed struck early, dismissing the young RR batsman.

It was a back-of-a-length delivery by Ahmed, and Jaiswal attempted a pull over mid-wicket but mistimed it, resulting in the ball coming off the toe end of the bat. 

The ball flew over the bowler's head, and the mid-off fielder Axar Patel ran to his left, keeping his eyes on the ball, and completed a magnificent two-handed catch.

At the time of writing, Sanju Samson replaced Jaiswal, joining Jos Buttler with RR scoring 28 for 1 in 4 overs.
