Swashbuckling South African batter Tristan Stubbs played an impactful knock for Delhi Capitals during their ongoing IPL 2024 encounter against Rajasthan Royals at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Coming at number six, Stubbs smashed 41 runs off 20 balls before Sandeep Sharma dismissed him with a cracking yorker.

The incident occurred during the final over of the Capitals' innings when Stubbs and Rasikh Salam were trying to finish things on a high note.

The over started on an emphatic note for DC, with Stubbs clobbering Sandeep for two consecutive massive sixes.

However, the bowler made a magnificent comeback, trapping the Proteas finisher plumb in front of the stumps with a dream delivery.

After conceding two successive sixes, Sandeep went for the kill, bowling an inch-perfect yorker that struck Stubbs on his toes. As soon as the RR players appealed, the umpire raised his finger, declaring the batter without any hesitation.

Although Stubbs challenged the decision by going upstairs, the TV umpire upheld the on-field decision upon finding three reds in the replay.

After Sandeep got the prized breakthrough, RR skipper Sanju Samson expressed his emotions.

Riding on flamboyant fifties from Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abhishek Porel and Stubbs' useful cameo, DC posted a commanding 221-run total in 20 overs.
