Continuing his impressive run in the IPL 2024, ace West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran played a scintillating cameo during Lucknow Super Giants' ongoing clash against Chennai Super Kings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. 

The swashbuckling southpaw brought his A-game against CSK's trump card Matheesha Pathirana, hammering him for a massive six straight down the ground. 

The incident occurred during the 16th over of LSG's innings when the hosts were already claimed the driving seat, having raced to 134 for one in 15 overs. 

After conceding three consecutive singles, Pathirana tried to keep it wide only to end up bowling it in Pooran's arc. The batter capitalised on the bowler's mistake, lofting it straight down the ground for a huge six. 

As soon as Pooran hit it, the ball sailed into the long on stand for a humongous six, helping LSG get a much-needed boundary. 

Earlier, chasing 177, the Super Giants had a great start to their innings, with Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul forming a magnificent 134-run stand for the opening wicket. 

After De Kock got out for a steady 43-ball 54, Pooran joined hands with Rahul before the latter was dismissed for a 53-ball 82 by Pathirana. 

However, Rahul's departure is unlikely to cost LSG, as they were 164 for two in 17.5 overs as of writing.
