Whenever MS Dhoni plays, he receives support like no other, causing people to think he is synonymous with the IPL itself. And there was no different on Friday either when he walked into Ekana Cricket Stadium to bat for CSK during their IPL 2024 clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Dhoni, 42 now, has been coming regularly to finish things off for CSK. And it happened yet again on Friday as well. The man who helped India win all ICC trophies deserves all the respect he has been getting since last year, as over time, he is becoming like an immortal figure in the hearts of every Indian cricket fan.

CSK, riding on MS Dhoni’s quickfire nine-ball 28 not out finished with 176/6 after a slow start. Ravindra Jadeja played beautifully as well, smashing an unbeaten 40-ball 57 not out after they started losing at regular intervals.

LSG, who have won three matches and lost as many, would like to chase it down in order to stay in contention for IPL 2024 playoff.
