Swashbuckling Australian opener David Warner had a great start to his innings in Delhi Capitals' ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Chennai Super Kings. 

His early fireworks got the Capitals going, providing them a solid start against the defending champions. Warner took a particular liking for ace CSK pacer Deepak Chahar, hammering him for a six after collecting a boundary on the final delivery of his first over. 

The incident occurred in the third over of the Capitals' innings when CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad decided to continue Chahar from one end. 

However, his decision backfired on the visitors, as Warner smashed him for a six on the second delivery of the over. 

After conceding a single on his first ball, Chahar bowled a harmless short of good length delivery. Seeing the ball in his arc, Warner's eyes lit up as he effortlessly dispatched it over the square-leg boundary. 

As if it wasn't enough, the explosive southpaw also went after Chahar in his third over, hammering him for two fours and a six. The veteran cricketer has showcased exemplary form in the game so far, helping DC get off to a flying start. 

As of writing, the Capitals were placed at 48 for none in 5.1 overs, with Warner and Prithvi Shaw batting on 34* and 16*, respectively.
