Gujarat Titans secured an emphatic win on Sunday afternoon, as they defeated Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad by a comprehensive seven-wicket margin in their third IPL 2024 fixture at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

While David Miller guided the Titans to glory through a belligerent 27-ball 44*, ace speedster Mohit Sharma had a memorable outing with the ball, registering clinical bowling figures of three for 25 in his four-over spell. 

Mohit's excellence with the ball helped him get the player of the match award following GT's commanding win. 

Speaking to Ravi Shastri, the experienced campaigner revealed his modus operandi, explaining how he played with the batters' mind to succeed in the match. 

"I practice what I do generally. What's important is knowing when to use them and being ahead of the batter. If you and the batter knows what you'll deliver, then you need to play with one fielder's position to deceive the batter. If he's ready for a slower bouncer but I go slow and wide, he won't be ready," Mohit said. 

The ex-CSK pacer also stated how he evaluates his performance after every game, while crediting the GT spinners for their impressive return against SRH. 

"As long as I do well I enjoy. When you don't, it hurts a bit, but you have to go back and review things after the game. Spinners were excellent after SRH started well. It helped us chase a smaller target," he concluded. 

With the spectacular three-wicket haul versus SRH, Mohit equalled with Mustafizur Rahman's tally of six wickets, the most in the IPL 2024. Regarding the Titans, the 2022 edition winners will take on Punjab Kings in match 17 of the competition on April 4.
