In a remarkable effort, Gujarat Titans got themselves back on the winning track, handing Pat Cummins' Sunrisers Hyderabad a crushing seven-wicket defeat in their third IPL 2024 game in Ahmedabad. Besides ace pacer Mohit Sharma, who bagged a clinical three-fer, David Miller emerged as the hero for the Titans, leading them to a convincing win through his fireworks. 

Miller arrived at the crease after the Titans lost their skipper, Shubman Gill, who was looking set in the middle. He made his intentions clear right from the word go, sending the SRH bowlers to all parts of the ground. 

After hammering the Sunrisers' spin maestro, Mayank Markande, Miller destroyed their pace department with his scintillating stroke play. 

Although he smashed four boundaries and two maximums for his breezy 27-ball 44, the veteran South African batter's winning hit off Jaydev Unadkat grabbed the limelight. 

The incident occurred in the final over of GT's innings when they needed a solitary run to get over the line. As Unadkat began his over with a harmless full-length delivery in the slot, Miller's eyes lit up and he dispatched it effortlessly over the long off boundary for a six. 

The southpaw's heroics reminded fans of the legendary MS Dhoni, who finished several matches with a six during his illustrious career. 

With the comprehensive win over SRH, the Titans moved up to number four in the IPL 2024 standings. They will face Punjab Kings in their fourth group-stage game of the season on April 4 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
