In the 13th match of IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals face off against Chennai Super Kings at Vizag, the adopted home for Delhi. DC won the toss and elected to bat first. Delhi Capitals, after suffering defeats in their initial two matches, are eager for a comeback.

Meanwhile, CSK has maintained an unbeaten streak in the ongoing IPL 2024 season.  The clash promises an exciting battle between two formidable teams, with Delhi Capitals aiming to turn their fortunes around and CSK striving to continue their winning momentum.

However, there are two changes in the Delhi Capitals lineup, the playing XI for CSK remains unchanged.

The pitch at Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag typically favours batters, with minimal seam movement, although early swing may benefit the new ball bowlers. Given its traditionally slower track, spinners and seamers who rely on variations are expected to excel.

DC vs CSK: Captain's Thoughts

Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings Captain): "I think we were looking to field first only. Definitely a fresh wicket for the first game over here. So, not much information about the pitch yet. Let's see how it goes, and we'll chase it down.

Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals Captain): "We are batting first. Wicket looks good. We want use the pitch well with the bat. Put runs on the board and hopefully, we defend it with the ball. (on new home ground) It makes a lot of difference. We have practised here well. We came here and got ten days of look at this wicket. We have a fairly good idea of this venue. Two changes. Kuldeep Yadav has a niggle. He goes out and Prithvi Shaw comes in. Ishant Sharma comes in for Ricky Bhui.We will try to get the best out of our side. We need to play good cricket. If we play good cricket, we can turn the tide and win the game."
