Shashank Singh produced yet another outstanding knock on Friday (April 26) in Match 42 of IPL 2024 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The 32-year-old, coupled with Jonny Bairstow's sensational century, saw off a gigantic 262-run target with eight wickets and as many balls to spare.

And the way he was smashing Harshit Rana, and Dushmantha Chameera, in particular the former, suggested how good his form has been.

Coming to chase a record-breaking target of 262, Shashank came to bat at No. 4 after Prabhsimran Singh and Jonny Bairstow set the platform. The PBKS all-rounder did not disappoint, playing like a monster while hitting Harshit and Chameera all over the park.

Fittingly, Shashank Singh hit the winning runs, as he remained not out on 68 off 28 balls. His knock was helped with eight massive sixes and two fours, while Bairstow's innings had eight fours and nine maximums.

KKR, despite the victory, remained on second on the IPL 2024 points table. They now have five wins and three losses, similar to what Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have achieved this season.
