Delhi Capitals' captain Rishabh Pant had a memorable outing in his side's ongoing IPL 2024 encounter against Gujarat Titans at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. 

Coming at number five, Pant hammered 88 runs off just 43 deliveries, helping DC post a mammoth 224-run total in the high-voltage clash. 

The swashbuckling southpaw took a particular liking for ace GT seamer Mohit Sharma, whom he smashed mercilessly throughout his stay. 

He unleashed his beast mode on the veteran seamer in the last over, smacking him for four sixes and a boundary. 

After Tristan Stubbs demoralised Sai Kishore, collecting 22 runs off the penultimate over, GT skipper Shubman Gill brought Mohit to bowl the last over. His decision backfired on the visitors, with the pacer going for a plenty to record the most expensive spell in IPL history. 

After Stubbs took a single off Mohit's first ball, Pant launched him into the orbit to collect six runs off the second delivery. He followed it up with a boundary through the off side field before hitting three consecutive maximums to finish things in style. 

His incredible batting effort ensured a whopping 224-run total for DC, who are desperate for a big win to stay alive in the playoff race.
