The Qualifier 2 of the second edition of ILT20 League will see Gulf Giants (GUL) square off against Dubai Capitals (DUB) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on February 15. The do-or-die contest is slated to begin at 8:00 PM IST.

The Gulf Giants finished second in the league stages but failed to win the game against the MI Emirates in Qualifier 1 and therefore finds them at a dubious position against the Dubai Capitals. The latter were clinical in pulling up the socks at the last moment of the league stages and finish in the top four. They were clinical in the Eliminator game against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and will look to produce another match-winning effort to make it to the grand finale.

GUL vs DUB, Qualifier 2- Toss Factor

The Sharjah Cricket Stadium has not seen many high-scoring encounters in recent times. The surfaces have been challenging towards the batters and run scoring hasn't been fun. The pacers tend to enjoy under the lights and the spinners have also had their part in the game. We may get to see a low-scoring encounter.

Scenario: If Gulf Giants field first

The Giants have a good number of match-winners that includes in-form Chris Lynn, Shimron Hetmyer and James Vince. Their top-order forms the core of the batting unit and will have to rely on them for chasing totals. Chris Jordan and Richard Gleeson can be a utility factor with the ball for them along with Blessing Muzarabani.

Scenario: If Dubai Capitals field first

The Capitals have a well-shaped batting line-up. Although Rahmanullah Gurbaz was missing due to international commitments, the presence of Leus du Plooy, Tom Abell and Tom Banton have bolstered the unit to a greater extent. Also, Sikandar Raza and Dasun Shanaka brings enough experience lower down the order in all the three facets.
