The ongoing second and final Test between New Zealand and South Africa at Hamilton has already witnessed some outstanding performances with bat, and ball, however, with such elite fielding sides the level of catching is what stealing the limelight.

On Day 3 of the second Test, South Africa came out in hopes of extending their slender lead, which batters Keegan Petersen and David Bedingham helped the touring side.

With others flopping, Petersen and Bedingham stitched a crucial 98-run stand for the fifth wicket, which came to a halting end courtesy of an absolute scorer of a catch by Glenn Phillips.

Phillips, who already held a screamer in the first innings, managed to repeat his fielding heroism again, this time at the gully region. Petersen looking to cut against Matt Henry off a outside off delivery, managed to find an outstretched hand of a flying Phillips, who took a one-handed stunner to dismiss the former, who looked well-set on 79-ball 43.

New Zealand despite a solid start, managed to loose the crucial wicket of opener Devon Conway in the final moments of play on Day 3, after adding 40 runs with Tom Latham, who will resume batting on Day 4 on 21.
