To set the weekend's run of fixtures in motion, Delhi Capitals will host Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi in the afternoon clash on Saturday, April 27.

Coming into the game, the hosts, DC sit 6th on the points table after winning 3 out of their last 4 games as they have made some recovery from some poor initial games. On the other hand, MI find themselves in a spot of bother, sitting 9th on the table with just three wins in the season so far, following some hiccups both on and off the field.

When DC And MI Last Met In IPL 2024

The last time these two sides met in the ongoing season was at the Wankhede of Mumbai in match number 20. As the Delhi side put Mumbai in to bat first, the hosts got off to a flier with an 80-run opening stand, DC crawled in back with a fantastic recovery, only conceding 103 runs in the 7-18 over period.

Captain, Hardik Pandya struggled for his 39 (33) but thanks to Tim David's 45*(21) and Romario Shephard's ballistic unbeaten 10-ball-39, MI ended with 234/5.

During the chase, veteran David Warner couldn't get going up at the top while Prithvi Shaw scored his first fifty of the season, rather slowly in the context of the game. Shaw and Abhishek Porel stitched a scratchy 88-run stand before the right-hander got out.

Tristian Stubbs went all in for chasing down the total with his 71*(25) but couldn't cross the line. The ever-reliable Jasprit Bumrah saved the day for MI with 2/22 in his four overs and Gerald Coetzee scalped a four-fer as MI won the game by 29 runs.
