Twitter Hails 'Superman' Karn Sharma As He Almost Pulls Off An Impossible Win Vs Starc

With 21 needed to win off the last over and Mitchell Starc bowling, not many gave RCB a chance to pull off an impossible win.

However, what followed was a moment of magic from Karn Sharma, who went toe-to-toe with Starc and nearly pulled off an incredible heist at the Eden Gardens.

Starc was trusted with the last over against the pair of Karn Sharma and Mohammed Siraj, but he almost gave a heart-attack to the KKR camp by conceding 3 sixes against Karn Sharma. At one stage, the KKR bowler and the most expensive buy of IPL 2024 looked clueless and that was evident with the way he bowled in the last over.

However, to Starc's credit, he did had the last laugh as Karn was dismissed on the second last ball, when RCB needed 3 off 2. Eventually Lockie Ferguson couldn't hold his nerves as RCB lost the game by the barest of margins - 1 run.

Karn's efforts went in vain, but social media was in awe of how the RCB spinner kept his calm and almost did the unthinkable.

Talking about the chase, RCB needed 223 to win the contest, but they lost the plot when Virat Kohli was given out in a controversial fashion. However, Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar started the carnage as both the batters completed their half-centuries. But the efforts went down as RCB lost a close-fought battle.
