Things have gone from bad to worse for RCB in the ongoing IPL match against the KKR side at the Eden Gardens.

With Kohli getting dismissed in a controversial manner, the onus was on Faf du Plessis to consolidate the innings and chase down the target. However, a moment of magic from Venkatesh Iyer spoiled the fun for the RCB camp.

It was Faf's nemesis, Varun Chakravarthy who got rid off him. Chakravarthy bowled a length ball and it was smashed away by du Plessis. He mis-timed the ball and it flew towards the mid on region, where Venkatesh was standing. The ball was travelling to his left and he stretched with a dive to grab a stunning catch, that left everyone in awe.

The catch left du Plessis in shock, as he expected the ball to clear the in-field. Talking about the match, RCB started off with aggression in the first couple of overs. Kohli took the onus and looked in ominous touch, but his wicket turned the tides as KKR took the upper hand.

At the moment, Rajat Patidar is batting alongside Will Jacks, as the required rate touches 11.09. RCB need to win the encounter to stay alive in playoffs race.
