CSK has a new six-hitting sensation named Shivam Dube for past 3 seasons. As soon as he steps onto the pitch, rival captains scramble to protect their spinners because Dube demolishes them. Lately, he's been just as ruthless against pacers as well. 

In the past 3 seasons, he has broken several records, and during his whirlwind knock Vs LSG, he attained another milestone by achieving 1,000 runs for the Yellow Army.

Dube set this record against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Chepauk yesterday, scoring 66 runs off 27 balls, boosting CSK's score to 210 runs. Since joining CSK in 2022, Dube has played 35 games, batting in 33 innings and scoring 1018 runs at an average of 37.70 and a strike rate of 161.08. Currently, Dube stakes a strong claim as India's middle-order batter in the T20 World Cup.

Despite his stints with RCB and RR, Dube's level of destructiveness has peaked since joining CSK. CSK skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad credits MS Dhoni for Dube's transformation as one of the best power-hitters in IPL.

Among the 14 CSK batters who have scored 1000 runs for the franchise, Dube stands out for his incredible strike rate. Unlike the others, none of whom have a strike rate above 140+, Dube's aggressive approach sets him apart.

In IPL 2024, Dube has been exceptional, scoring 311 runs in eight matches at an average of 51.83 and a strike rate of 169.94, including three half-centuries. His form is pivotal for CSK's advancement in the tournament.
