MS Dhoni's batting has been a cause for celebration this season for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans, wherever they play. If it's Chepauk, the atmosphere is even more electric. When Shivam Dube was run out in the last over of the game, MS Dhoni came to bat, and the Chepauk crowd erupted on Tuesday at Chennai.

According to Ian Bishop, Pooran was seen covering his ears, unable to bear the noise of Chepauk cheering for their beloved Thala during the clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Dhoni has been setting a different vibe this season. Every time he comes to bat, the stadium erupts, and he has been smashing the balls in his cameos for CSK this season.

Against Mumbai Indians, he even played a match-winning knock despite facing only a few deliveries, where he smashed Hardik Pandya. MS Dhoni was recalling his peak days not only in his long-haired look but also through his attacking batting.

Will this be Dhoni's last season in IPL?

When CSK appointed Ruturaj Gaikwad as the captain of CSK on the day before the season opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), many fans presumed this could be Dhoni's last season.

Dhoni has been struggling with knee issues for a while, and this season, he was seen limping after the game against Mumbai Indians. Consequently, most people expect Dhoni to finish his career playing at Chepauk for the final time.

LSG breaches Fortress Chepauk

Batting first on Tuesday, Chennai went berserk against the Lucknow bowling with captain Gaikwad, who smacked a century, and spin-hitting maverick Shivam Dube's taking the team to a total of 210.

In the second innings, Chennai bagged wickets in regular intervals, but Marcus Stoinis stood tall like a warrior with his nerves of steel, smacking his maiden IPL hundred and taking his side over the line.

With this victory, the KL Rahul-led side have outsmarted Ruturaj Gaikwad's CSK twice within a week.
