Led by Ajit Agarkar, the BCCI selection committee will soon announce India's squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and the United States. 

As confirmed by the BCCI secretary Jay Shah, veteran batter Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian contingent in the tournament. 

The stylish Mumbaikar will open the batting alongside swashbuckling left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has showcased remarkable consistency across formats. 

Legendary right-handed batter Virat Kohli will likely be slotted at number three, where he has played numerous match-winning knocks for India over the years. 

Explosive batter Suryakumar Yadav, who can hit nonchalant sixes all around the park, will likely be slotted at number four. 

Rishabh Pant, who has performed admirably in the IPL 2024, might get the nod ahead of KL Rahul for the keeper's role, as India need a genuine middle-order batter in that position. 

RR's in-form batter, Sanju Samson, is the front-runner to be the reserve keeper, especially after his latest match-winning knock against Lucknow Super Giants. 

Meanwhile, Axar Patel will likely pip Ravindra Jadeja for the spin all-rounder's role due to his superior batting ability down the order. 

Explosive batters Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh will likely make it into the final fifteen based on their hard-hitting ability against both pace and spin. 

Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah will spearhead India's seam bowling department alongside Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj. 

Furthermore, the spin unit, led by Kuldeep Yadav, might include Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been impressive with the ball in the IPL 2024.
